Reflecting

It seems that lately I've been going through one of my semi-annual identity/life crisis. I have these a couple times a year and what started as a small, unplanned holiday hiatus has turned into a major rut. All of the sudden I'm just so unmotivated, I feel like I'm struggling with my identity and I just go in and out of melancholy. I blame some of it on the weather. I definitely think I have that Seasonal Disorder. When it's overcast and blah out, so is my mood! And it's been like that a lot here lately!

I've even found myself, and I can't believe I'm actually going to say this..... Not wanting to watch The Bachelor this season. It truly pains me to say this, as this will be the first season I haven't watched.... EVER. I don't know what it is. It's not Sean - love him! It's not the show - love it! I just think there have been a few too many lackluster seasons and my love for the person at the center of it all just isn't enough for me to watch right now. So sad.

So right now I'm in a state of trying to figure some things out. Organizing my Home, getting back into doing some things I love, getting healthy & fit, figuring out what I want to do in life (I can't believe I haven't figured this out yet!!!) and most of all - finding my happy (my truly happy) place again. Don't worry, my happy place really and truly includes this blog and all of you! So even if my posts are sporadic, I promise I'll be back!!! Right now, today, I just need to focus and remember to....

Bachelor Recap #1

First let me preface this by saying that I was super excited for the show last night and then I ended up needing to take my cat to an emergency vet appointment. I already have a couple sick animals right now, so after finding out she needs surgery on Friday & bloodwork, I was really really upset. As of right now, she's ok! But add a sudden stomach bug visiting the house last night (starting with my kiddo), well let's just say that really getting into the show last night lost it's luster a bit! Aside from that, the first show is always a bit boring, so even though I did watch, I don't really feel like I missed much with my mind trailing off elsewhere.

That being said, I'm excited as always about this season of The Bachelor! Sean was my fav pretty much from day 1 with Arie as a very very close 2nd. And speaking of Arie, how cute was he last night?! Omg, he's still as hot as ever!!! So since last night didn't have much going on, I'm just going to highlight a few of the ladies that stood out to me along with my thoughts....

Ashley P. aka "50 Shades Girl" .... where do I start???? Well She's a cute girl. And.... I'm sure she's nice? I thought the 50 Shades bit was too much. I'm all for being original and I know these girls want to stand out amongst a sea of beautiful faces, but this just screamed desperation to me! I thought Sean handled it like a champ! I love that most guys would love having a girl all over them and would kind of be a slight pig about it, but he wasn't. How funny was it and when he said he had his rape whistle?! Bahahaha!!! Even though Ashley P. didn't get her Christian Grey, she still got her 50 Shades, I mean seconds, of fame ; )

Des is adorable and is already one of my frontrunners! I already love her style, she seems sweet and I could see her & Sean together as a couple. I think by the time they got to chat I may have been trailing off. I don't remember if I saw some drama coming from her in the season preview, but either way, I like her upon first impression!

Ok, I absolutely adore Kacie! I thought she was so cute when she was on Ben's season and I loved her her bubbly, fun personality! She is another obvious frontrunner for me, but I just have this feeling that her & Sean won't click completely for some reason. So sad, they would be an amazing couple! I'll still be cheering Kacie on!!!

Sarah rounds out my top 3 in terms of first impressions. She is sweet, humble and gorgeous!!! Wouldn't her & Sean just make the most beautiful babies?!?! I can totally see it! She oh so slightly resembles Sean's sister, but if he doesn't mind that, who cares! It's not necessarily a bad thing for a guy to date a girl that resembles his super pretty sister!

So that rounds out my top 3 ladies and the one girl that stood out to me for all the wrong reasons! ha! Honorable mention goes to Lindsay in her drunken wedding dress wearing stupor and Tierra who I just don't like already!!! A lot of these girls seem like they are honestly lovely, the first night is just such a blur it's hard to keep track and know what to say about many of them. All I know is after seeing the preview it's going to be another drama filled season & I can't wait!!!

{ source }
Tonight's the night I've been waiting for! That's right.... Tonight is the Bachelor premier!!! Warning: if you are not a fan, do not visit my blog on Tuesdays. For those of you that don't know or might be new to my blog, The Bachelor/Bachelorette is my Fantasy Football! I've been watching since the very first season and it's one of my favorite shows!!! I cover every season and I always recap the next day, so from here until the end of the season every Tuesday belongs to Sean ; )

I am so excited for this season and have high hopes that Sean will be a great Bachelor! I was a huge fan of his since day 1 on Emily's season as you can see here! I'm really curious to see how he'll be sending some of the ladies home. I felt the same way when Jake was the Bachelor, but he really surprised me, so we'll see! Either way I'm sure it will be a drama-filled season, it always is with all those girls in one house!!!

If you're a fan make sure to stop back tomorrow for Recap #1!

Happy New Year!!!

"This Will be MY Year"  - that's my new mantra..... which seems to be everyone's mantra bringing in 2013! But that's a good thing!!! Sometimes I feel like New Years Eve is the icing on the cake.... the perfect cap off to the holiday season. It certainly means different things for everyone. For some, it could be the final sendoff to a chaotic holiday mess and for others it could be ending a great year and welcoming another. No matter what it means for you, I just feel like there's always something magical about starting a new year. You get that fresh feeling like anything is possible! Every year I always have grande plans that end up slowly falling off the radar as the months fly by, but this year I'm really really going to try to stick to it. So here are some of my goals...

Health
~ Lose the rest of the weight I've been wanting to lose
~ Build muscle & get STRONG!
~ Get back on my holistic living regimen
~ Tackle the rest of my lingering health issues

Family
~ Get our life organized - finances, fun activities, etc
~ Create more quality time
~ Stop being a little too spontaneous & plan some fun things!
~ Get our meals on a more consistent, healthy track for everyone

Home
~ Map out each room in our house & set a goal list to tackle by the end of the year
~ Create a budget & stick to it
~ Work on a different DIY project at least once a month

Personal
~ Map out my goals and start working towards one each month
~ Finally make a decision on what to go back to school for!
~ Make more time for my hobbies
~ Do at least 5 blog posts per week & get on a schedule
~ Get braces!!!

So there they are! There are a lot of them as you can see!!! I'm hoping now that I posted them on here for everyone to see, that will be a motivator to work on them each month!!!
