My Krazy Coupon Quest!
Happy Friday Lovelies! I've been working really hard on some different wellness programs that I hope to launching soon, so I've been a little behind on posts! But there is something that I NEED to share with you!!! I have a new hobby in the works and it's so funny, because it's something that I never ever thought I would be into. I taped a whole slew of "Kim & Kourtney" over a couple week period, and on Superbowl Sunday I decided to have my own private Mini Kardashian Marathon! Can you tell I'm obv not a football fan?! LOL.
Well on one of the episodes Kourtney found out about couponing. She started carrying around this binder and getting all these deals! I was totally intrigued. So I made a mental note of the website she was looking on while on the show and looked it up. The website is called The Krazy Coupon Lady. The weird thing is that literally, like the day before, my husband just mentioned to me that he wanted to learn the "secrets" of extreme couponing and Kourtney Kardashian, of all people, is the one who lets me in on this amazing website! So I promptly went to the website and decided to order the book. I've been really enjoying reading about it!!!
Now here's my catch... The only thing that is slightly difficult is the fact that we eat mostly organic, mostly g-free, and mostly dairy free. This has proven to be a little bit of a challenge when looking for the awesome deals! But I'm trying to work through it!!! I've found quite a few good deals through Whole Foods and I'm really hoping that becoming a "Krazy Organic, Holistic Coupon Lady" is possible! I'm not finished the book yet, but I will definitely fill you all in on all of my upcoming coupon escapades!
I'm really hoping to put something together to go along with one of my programs where I can teach people to live a healthier lifestyle and save money with coupons. I'll be my own guinea pig ;) So what do you all think of couponing? Do you find it intriguing? Would you ever try it? I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

J.Crew Sale Favorites!
J.Crew is having a sale and it's the perfect time to snap up some Winter fav's for less or some breezy styles to help you transition into spring! With the code "SHOPNOW" you can save an additional 30% off of all sale items and snag free shipping with an order of $175+ . I personally LOVE J.Crew!!! I've been shopping there since High School (a very long time ago, lol) and love that I'll always be able to as there are styles to fit every age! There are some great finds, here are a few of my fav's in no particular order...
XOXO
Painter Pintuck Henley in Blue Sea |
I love Henley's. They are such a classic wardrobe staple in my closet, along with Cardi's. They are great with jeans in the spring and to throw on with shorts on the cooler summer days. Love this pretty blue!
Shirred Ruffle Bandeau Top in Shallow Sea |
I have quite a bit of work to do before I can get in Bikini shape again, but if I were to be able to rock a two piece, this would be the perfect one! It's classic, girly and not too skimpy! The only issue... I would have a hard time choosing between all of the beautiful colors! You can also find the boyshort pictured here
Favorite Tank |
I live in these tanks year round! I tend to grab mine from the Factory store when they have a sale and I'm lucky enough to get a coupon in the mail. I literally grab them in every color as well as a couple in each of the basics, they are that good!!!
Amie Maxi Dress |
All summer long I live in Maxi Dresses, I adore them! I would probably buy this maxi in every color. They are just so easy to throw on with a pair of shoes and accessorize to your liking during the warmer months!! Factory has a gorgeous maxi as well, but it won't be available again until the weekend!
Do you shop at J.Crew? What are some of your favorites?

DIY Laundry Detergent & Tooth Care
Hi Lovelies! So sorry for the lack of posts lately, we've been quite busy. I just graduated from my Holistic Health Counselor program a little over a week ago and have been enjoying a nice break from doing all of my classes at home! I'm planning on adding to my education with various certifications over the next couple of years, so after a year of hard work, it was nice to have a few days of being a little more carefree!
We also got a new puppy a couple weeks ago! I know they are nothing like having a human baby, but wow, it's been a lot of work. We're all adjusting nicely though and he's such a sweet little dog!
His name is Percy and he's a little red dapple dachshund puppy! He gets so cold outside so he has to wear a coat ;)
So with everything being a little more crazy than we are used to with the new furry addition, as well as our son's birthday coming, I've been trying to be a little more thrifty with some of the items we tend to breeze through rather quickly. I kept seeing different recipes for DIY products on Pinterest and decided to give one a try. I made my own laundry detergent ...
DIY Laundry Detergent
1 cup Borax
1 cup Washing Soda
1 Soap Bar - Ex Fels Naptha, grated
I also added a little baking sode as well
First of all, let me just say that this detergent smells really good! I quadrupled the recipe and subbed in one Dr Bronners bar soap as well. I think it works really great on clothes, but doesn't stretch as much as I thought it would and the clothes don't feel quite as soft. And they don't have that smell that I love coming out of the dryer. The verdict? I broke down the costs after I had already made the detergent and I literally saved a couple cents than if I had purchased this Seventh Generation Citrus & Wild Lavender Laundry Detergent. Plus, I get 6% cashback on sll drugstore.com purchases through Ebates. Cashback really adds up fast and if you do a lot of shopping online, it's totally worth it! So lesson learned, next time I'll crunch the numbers before I decide to grate 4 bars of soap!! For now, the DIY detergent is working great for my whites, towels, & bedding ;)
Next up on the list to try.... DIY Toothpaste & Mouthwash! I'm hoping to get to it today. I'll post back when I have my full review!
